Contact Contemporary Music - DRUMDRAG
Funding will support musicians' performance fees for Drumdrag - an official Pride event, concert and partnership between Contact Contemporary Music and Amnesty International.
Counterpoint Community Orchestra - Community Capacity Building Strategy 2006-7 (phase II)
Counterpoint Community Orchestra is Canada's only queer orchestra, presenting three concerts annually as well as performances at community and cultural events. Funds will support Counterpoint's newsletter, promotional materials and rehearsal space for their 23rd season.
Lesbian Gay Bi Trans Youth Line (LGBT Youth Line) - Community Youth Awards Sponsorship
The LGBT Youthline is a service provided by youth for youth across Ontario that provides confidential peer support through telephone listening, information and referral services. Funds will provide community sponsorship for LGBT Youthline 2007 Community Youth Awards ceremony, a popular event to raise its profile and increase visibility of the contributions of queer youth in society.
Halton Organization for Pride & Education (HOPE) - LGBTTTQQ Youth Peer Support Group
Halton Organization for Pride and Education runs an LGBTTTQQ youth peer support group. Funds for this project would be utilized to enhance promotion of this group in the broader community and support youth developing materials for thier own website, other free online venues and creating and distributing flyers.
Fred Victor Centre - Making Employment Services Accessible to the LGBTT2 Community
The Fred Victor Centre has a century of experience working with the most disadvantaged in society on housing, homeless and employment services. Building on previous successes in developing specific employment resources for the LGBTT2 community, funds will help to develop and execute a workshop for employment professionals on providing appropriate services to that community.
PFLAG - Getting The Word Out
PFLAG (Parents, Family and Friends of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexuals and Transgenders) are a monthly support group and public education group that complete dozens of speaks and events annually. Funds will produce an updated multilingual pamphlet, and buttons, pins, t-shirts used in outreach and education.

Inside Out International Focus on East Asian Multi-Language Asian Program Hightlights Brochure
Pocket-sized supplement to 2007 Film Festival will highlight programs in Festival's East Asia and contributions by East Asian lgbt artists. Descriptions will be in Chinese, Korean, and Pilipino.

Pride Scarborough - Raising Awareness and Voices in the East
The goal of this project is to increase outreach, promotion, entertainment and events during Pride Week in Scarborough. The project will also work to increase presence of Pride Scarborough during Toronto Pride, 2007.

The Toronto Seniors Pride Network is an association committed to a positive caring environment for older LGBTTQ adults. Funds will go towards the development and promotion of a Senior Pride Network website. The webiste will assist individuals and organizations with information, education, outreach and cultural competency.
North York Women's Centre
Pink Triangle Group
The North York Women's Centre will continue their work to support LBTT women who live in suburban areas outside downtown Toronto. The program will provide social, emotional and psycho-educational supports, and foster the building of social networks among LBTT women.
The 519 Anti-Violence Programme
National Day Against Bi-Lesbi-Homo-Trans Phobia
The 519 Anti-Violence Programme assists individuals and promotes education about violence against queers. Funds will support a hosting and promotion of a forum for National Day Against Bi-Lesbi-Homo-Trans Phobia on May 17th, 2007. The forum will raise public awareness and combat homophobia in the education system.

Camp Ten Oaks is a one week sleep away camp for 50 children and youth of queer and/or non-traditional families and takes place in August 2007. Funding will provide subsidy for 4 Toronto campers, and a Toronto information night and promotion in the GTA.

Central Toronto Youth Services is a children's mental health centre that provides the "Pride and Prejudice" program for queer youth. Funding will support the writing, editing and printing of "Families in TRANSition" a resource guide for parents and families of trans youth.

Central Toronto Youth Services is a children's mental health centre that provides the "Pride and Prejudice" program for queer youth. Youth Gender Action Project (YGAP) is a community-based research study committed to understanding and improving the lives of trans youth living in Ontario. It seeks to indentify gaps in knowledge about the lives, development, and service needs of trans youth.

Hysteria: A Festival of Woman
Funding will enhance artist presentation in a Buddies presentation of Hysteria: A Festival of Women - a 10 day multidisciplinary arts showcase of work by women in November, 2007. Over 100 female artists will participate.

GenerAsian Understanding - A Pilot Project
ACAS is a non-profit community orgarnigation providing HIV/AIDS and STI prevention to East and South East Asian communities. GenerAsian Understanding is a pilot project to support youth exploring their sexuality through education and mentorship. The 7 month poject includes outreach, training, matching, mentorship and evaluation.

"A" is for Orange: Walk Good
Funding would support writers' honoraria for a 9 month reading & workshop series, bringing together LGBTTQ writers of Caribbean descent to create original work and present that work in the broader Caribbean community. "Walk Good" is a Jamaican saying meaning safe journey.
CKLN Radio
Out & Loud
As part of CKLN's "Out Loud" Pride coverage, this project is a new initiative to develop youth internship opportunities to participate and perform on CKLN Radio. This will be a partnership between CKLN, Rye-PRIDE and Supporting Our Youth.
Inside Out Toronto Lesbian & Gay Film and Video Festival
Inside Out 2007 QYDVP
The Queer Youth Digital Video Project compiles short videos by queer youth & first time videomakers to be distributed to approx 100 organizations. It also includes resources and a history of Inside Out and how /when to apply to participate in the project
Ontario Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf
Rise Above The Ground
Ontario Rainbow Alliance of the Deaf (ORAD) will use funding to raise profile amongst hearing and deaf communities and to develop support materials for its membership. ORAD seeks to have presence in the pride parade for the first time ever and presence in an annual celebration within the deaf community, and to hold a weekend workshop to deal with issues within the queer deaf community. ORAD will also begin filming their events to document their activities for future members.
Alliance for South Asians AIDS Prevention (ASAAP)
Snehithan: social support group for Tamil-speaking queers
Snehithan is a monthly GBTTQQ men's support group serving the Tamil Community. Funds will be used for coordination and facilitation of the support group, creating safe spaces and programming for Tamil trans people and assist in the development and maintenance of the group's website.
Asian Community AIDS Services (ACAS) - Women's Program
Taboos & Tales Online: For Asian Queer Women and Trans People
Building on previous work with LBTQQ women, Asian Community AIDS Services will develop a website to connect these women to relevant social and health resources, information, people and events. This webiste will be developed, created and maintained in consultation and collaboration with members of the communities it aims to serve.
Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention (ASAAP)
Dosti: A Social Support Group for South Asian GBTTQQ Men
Dosti is a social support group for over 100 South Asian GBTTQQ men, run by the Alliance for South Asian AIDS Prevention. Builting of the success of last year's project, this year's project supports group meetings; culturally appropriate special events; creating a queer positve community/media resource; publish two media inserts in South Asian media; hold a retreat; and re-vamp the Dosti website.
Buddies In Bad Times
The PrideCab Project
Pridecab is a 12 week arts and history project for youth promoting a cross-generational exchange between queer youth and prominent queer artists and activists. The project will culminate with a public presentation showcasing the youth participants' work at Buddies.
St. James Town Safety Committee
Ote'a Tane
Set in St. Jamestown, this project engages gay men from the community in learning traditional Polynesian and Hawaiian dance. The project provides the opportunity to break down barriers and challenge stereotypes while providing a social outlet.
Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention (Black CAP)
BlackCAP Youth Awareness Program for BLACK LGBTTQ youth of African or Caribbean Descent
Funds will support the BlackCAP Youth Wellness program for black queer youth. In partnership with Supporting Our Youth, the "Mate Masie Youth Kwanzaa & Yoga Youth Project" is a 7 month recreational and learning experience. Also, BlackCAP will create a monthly social meeting space called "Young, Black & Gay".

Unity (Gay-Straight Alliance) conference
Funds will be used to host a one day Unity conference for GTA students who belong to Gay-Straight Alliances in their local schools. This third annual event, co-sponsored by TDSB, will include over 100 students from at least 15 secondary schools. Event includes roundtable discussions and over a dozen workshops.

Tomboy
"Tomboy" is a 12 minute award-winning animated short film based on the book "Are you a Girl or a Boy?" Geared to 6-11 year old girls, the project aims to have the film distributed in public schools in Toronto and elsewhere. Funds will be used to assist in the final production of the film.
FrancoQueer
Based on success from PRIDE 2006, FrancoQueer will enhance its outreach activity to reach a larger audience through an event at PRIDE 2007. FrancoQueer also will promote a new program, a community kitchen for French-speaking people living with HIV and a support group for low-income French-speaking people.

Taking Poverty Out of the Closet: Queer Emerging Artists of Colour and Two-spirited…
Mayworks Festival of Working People and the Arts is an annual, mutlidisciplinary festival of theatre, music film, performance, spoken word and visual art. "Taking Poverty Out of the Closet" is an evening of readings and performances by local queer artists with a focus on artists who self-identify as poor/working-class. Event will build relationship between queer workers, social justice activists and communities of colour.

Gutter Theatrical Cabaret
Funding will support a full-length music/dance/theatre production at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre, exploring themes of queer desire, sexuality, history and identity. The preformers will include a diverse array of ten artists, all members of the Greater Toronto GLBTQ2S community.
MPENZI
Mpenzi: "One who loves and one who is loved"
"Mpenzi" is a celebration of work by Black and Queer Black women writers, producers and directors. The festival screens film and video submissions from established and emerging artists. Funding will be used to sponsor the festival.

Shattered Glass
Shattered Glass is an operatic journey exploring issues of sexuality, marriage, fidelity and love. Funds will be used to expand upon and further develop a 30 minute chamber opera, presented at the 28th annual Rhubarb Festival in 2006. The composer and libretist will revise the opera and work with a dramaturge to develop the structure of the piece.

Never Man's Land
Funds will be used to support a workshop production of Never Man's Land at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre. Never Man's Land is an original autobiographically inspired theatre piece exploring transexuality, growing up "in the wrong body" and transitioning from female to male.

The Sweet 15 of Hola
"The Sweet 15 of Hola" is a documentary film about the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Latino group HOLA and tells the story of the Latino queer community in Toronto. Funds will be used to complete, release and distribute the documentary film.

Rainbow Railroad
The Rainbow Railroad is a network organized to ensure reasonable routes of escape and safe haven for LGBTQ people internationally from state authorized, enabled, or tolerated violence. In Toronto, funds will be used to develop a website to support the network and to document and share stories of LGBTQ refugees fleeing danger and persecution.
